I am headed to Fiji on June 9th, to live in a rural village on the island of Tavua and initiate development projects. There is a high level of poverty in Fiji which has become more desperate after recent natural disasters. 25% of the population currently lives on less than $1 per day. My potential projects include: disaster relief, organic gardens, food drying, orphanages, business mentoring, microcredit, public health, HIV/AIDS awareness, and construction.
